The FLASH is a 110 lb full-suspension mid-drive with 220 Nm and room for roughly 2,808Wh at $2,499; buy it if you climb loose, steep ground and have somewhere at ground level to keep it. Note that EUNORAU publishes no payload figure for the FLASH at all.

A commuter and a machine
The META26 1.0 is $1,699. The FLASH 2.0 is $2,499. Eight hundred dollars separates them, which understates the distance.
The META26 is a 26-inch step-through with a 500W rear hub motor, a torque sensor, hydraulic brakes with motor cut-off switches, and a second battery bay. EUNORAU states it weighs 68.4 lb. The FLASH is a full-suspension fat-tire bike with a 1000W Truckrun mid-drive claiming 220 Nm, three battery positions and a stated weight of 50 kg, about 110 lb. You would not cross-shop a folding chair and a workbench, and this is closer to that than to a like-for-like decision.

$1,699 ÷ 720Wh ≈ $2.36. $2,499 ÷ 832Wh ≈ $3.00. The FLASH holds 112Wh more as standard and charges roughly a quarter more again for each of them.
That is the site's central argument arriving on schedule: past about $1,200, additional money stops buying stored energy and starts buying gearing, suspension, torque and disclosure. The FLASH takes that money and spends it almost entirely on the first three. On the fourth, as we will come to, it spends rather less than the META26 does.
The motor is the whole difference
Why 220 Nm is not simply four times 55 Nm
EUNORAU publishes 55 Nm for the META26 — the lowest torque figure on this site — and 220 Nm for the FLASH, the highest by a wide margin. But the raw ratio undersells it, because the two motors apply their torque in structurally different places.
The META26's motor sits in the rear hub and drives the wheel directly. Its 55 Nm is 55 Nm in every gear; the Shimano 7-speed changes what your legs contribute and nothing about what the motor contributes. The FLASH's motor sits at the cranks and turns the chainring, so its output passes through the Shimano 8-speed cassette before it reaches the ground. In the lowest gear the gearing multiplies that 220 Nm substantially at the wheel. The practical result is not a bike that is four times quicker; it is a bike that climbs loose, steep, loaded ground where a 500W hub motor simply stalls and starts cooking itself.
If your route has a hill you actively plan around, that distinction matters more than any other line on either specification sheet, and our e-bike for hills guide works through it properly. If your route does not, you are buying a capability you will never call on.
What the mid-drive costs
Three things, and none of them appear as a price.
It costs consumables. All 220 Nm runs through your chain and cassette, which wear considerably faster than they would on a hub bike where the motor never touches them. It costs weight and complexity, which is part of how the FLASH arrives at 110 lb. And on this particular listing it costs disclosure: EUNORAU does not publish the FLASH's sensor type at all, which is a strange omission on a mid-drive, where whether the motor responds to pedal pressure or merely to pedal rotation shapes the entire character of the ride. The META26, at eight hundred dollars less, states a torque sensor plainly.
Batteries: both expand, and the arithmetic differs
This is where the two bikes are most alike in principle and least alike in scale.
META26: 720Wh becomes 1,440Wh
EUNORAU fits a 48V 15Ah Samsung-cell pack and sells an optional second 15Ah battery. 48V × 15Ah = 720Wh per pack, so two packs hold 1,440Wh. That is not a claim requiring interpretation — it is multiplication, and it is the single most useful feature of the bike.
EUNORAU claims up to 100 miles with both batteries. Divide it: 1,440Wh ÷ 100 miles = 14.4Wh per mile. That is achievable on a 26 × 3.0-inch tire at low assist with a light rider on flat ground, and optimistic elsewhere. At a more typical 20Wh per mile, 1,440Wh ÷ 20 ≈ 72 miles on two packs, and 720Wh ÷ 20 ≈ 36 miles on one. Those are the numbers to plan around.
FLASH: 832Wh becomes roughly 2,808Wh, and a claim that does not survive division
The FLASH runs a 52V 16Ah pack — 52V × 16Ah = 832Wh — and takes an optional 21Ah top-tube pack and a 17Ah down-tube pack. All three together give 52V × 54Ah, approximately 2,808Wh. That is by a distance the most stored energy of anything we cover, and a substantial part of why the bike weighs what it does.

what the FLASH's 220-mile claim implies
2,808Wh ÷ 220 miles = 12.8Wh per mile. That is less than a lightweight road e-bike uses, and roughly half what a 110 lb full-suspension fat-tire bike with a 1000W mid-drive realistically draws. We print the claim because EUNORAU made it, and we would not plan a ride on it.
Use 25Wh per mile instead, which is a defensible figure for a machine of this weight and frontal area in mixed riding. 2,808Wh ÷ 25 ≈ 112 miles across three packs; 832Wh ÷ 25 ≈ 33 miles on the standard one. One hundred and twelve miles is still comfortably the longest range on this site, and it has the advantage of being a number you could actually build a day around. Both sets of extra batteries are sold separately, and on the FLASH two of them represent a serious addition to an already high price.
Payload: one figure published, one absent
EUNORAU rates the META26 to 286 lb. That is the lowest ceiling on this site and it is a real limitation — it covers rider, clothing, lock, bag, rack and everything in it, and a heavier rider with a full pannier can reach it without doing anything unusual. For the FLASH, EUNORAU publishes no payload figure at all.
This is the most significant gap in the FLASH's listing, and it is genuinely awkward: the bike most likely to be bought by someone carrying weight up rough ground is the one that will not tell you how much weight it takes.
Weight, and the shape of ownership
68.4 lb against 110 lb is a difference of about 41.6 lb, and it changes what owning the bike is like more than any performance figure here.
The META26 is heavy by bicycle standards and manageable by e-bike standards. You can get it over a kerb, wrestle it onto a decent hitch rack, and pick it up if it goes over.
The FLASH, at 110 lb, is close to immovable without planning. It will not go on a standard car rack rated for the usual 60 lb per bike. It does not go up a flight of stairs. It needs ground-level storage and a ramp if it travels in a van, and if it falls you will not be lifting it alone. That is not a criticism of the design — full suspension, a mid-drive and a large pack cannot be light — but it is a fact you have to accommodate rather than one you can work around.
EUNORAU publishes a 5'4" to 6'3" fit range for the META26. For the FLASH they publish no rider height, and no charge time either, where the META26 states 5 to 7 hours.
Suspension, brakes and the rest
The META26 has a front suspension fork; the FLASH has genuine full suspension with a named KZ-209 rear shock at 290mm. On broken ground that gap is as wide as it sounds. Both bikes use 180mm hydraulic disc brakes, and the META26 adds motor cut-off switches in the levers, which kill power the instant either lever moves — a cheap feature that matters a great deal on a throttle bike and one the FLASH's listing does not mention.
Tires diverge in the usual way: 26 × 3.0-inch Innova on the META26, which is a real middle ground between float and drag, against CST 20 × 4.0-inch fat tires on the FLASH, which float on sand and snow and roll heavily everywhere else.
The META26 gets a BC182 display with EUNORAU GO app connectivity; the FLASH gets a BC281 LCD. Both bikes are capped at 20 MPH. Neither states a certification and neither publishes a water-resistance rating, and both carry a two-year warranty.
The decision
Buy the META26 if the honest description of your riding is commuting, errands and the occasional longer weekend loop. It has the torque sensor, the brake cut-offs, a sane weight, a published fit range and a battery you can double with arithmetic rather than optimism. Check the 286 lb payload against your own loaded total first, because that is where it will bite.
Buy the FLASH if you climb steep loaded ground, want the most range that can be bought on this site, and have somewhere at ground level to keep 110 lb of bicycle. Go in knowing that the payload, the sensor type, the charge time and the fit range are all unpublished, and that the 220-mile figure should be read as roughly 112.

Is the FLASH really capable of 220 miles?
Not as a planning figure. Three packs hold roughly 2,808Wh, and 220 miles from that implies 12.8Wh per mile — less than a lightweight road e-bike draws, and about half what a 110 lb full-suspension fat-tire bike with a 1000W mid-drive realistically uses. At a defensible 25Wh per mile, 2,808Wh ÷ 25 ≈ 112 miles. That is still by far the longest range on this site, and unlike the headline it is a number you could plan a day around. Does the META26’s second battery really double the range?
It doubles the stored energy, which is the accurate way to say it: 48V × 15Ah = 720Wh per pack, so two packs hold 1,440Wh. What that becomes in miles depends on how fast you draw it. EUNORAU claims up to 100 miles, which implies 14.4Wh per mile — achievable at low assist with a light rider on flat ground. At a more typical 20Wh per mile, 1,440Wh ÷ 20 ≈ 72 miles on two packs and 720Wh ÷ 20 ≈ 36 miles on one.
What is the FLASH’s maximum payload?
EUNORAU does not publish one, and it is the specification we would most want added to that listing. The 1,000 lb figure you will see quoted is the load rating of the KZ-209 rear shock — a component specification, not a statement about what the frame, wheels, brakes and tires carry together. Every other bike on this site publishes a payload; the META26 states 286 lb. If the number matters to you, ask EUNORAU directly and get the answer in writing before you order.
Is 55 Nm enough for commuting?
On flat and rolling ground with a torque sensor, yes — the META26 is pleasant to ride and you will not sit there wishing for more. On a sustained steep climb, or fully loaded, you will notice it, because 55 Nm is the lowest torque figure on this site. The FLASH’s 220 Nm is not simply four times more: it is delivered at the cranks, so the gears multiply it at the wheel. That is the difference between a bike that struggles on a steep pitch and one that does not notice it.
How much of a problem is 110 lb in practice?
Enough to change how you own the bike. You will not lift the FLASH onto a standard car rack, carry it up stairs, or pick it up alone if it falls. It wants ground-level storage, a ramp if it goes in a van, and a hitch rack rated well beyond the usual 60 lb per bike. The META26 at 68.4 lb is heavy but manageable — over a kerb, onto a good rack, upright again after a fall. If any of that describes your situation, it decides the comparison.
Which one is better documented?
The META26, comfortably, and that is unusual for the cheaper bike. EUNORAU publishes its torque figure, payload, weight, charge time, rider height, sensor type, tire brand and shifter model. For the FLASH they publish no payload, no sensor type, no charge time and no rider height. Neither model states a certification and neither publishes a water-resistance rating. Buying the FLASH means accepting several blanks on the listing, which is a fair trade only if the mid-drive is genuinely what you need.
