1. Agreement

By using https://ebikerider.us you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. We may update the terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised version.

2. What this site is

Ebike Rider is an independent editorial publication about electric bicycles. It covers 22 models from four brands and it sells nothing. There is no checkout, no cart and no account.

AMYET, VTUVIA, EUNORAU and Velotric are trademarks of their respective owners. Ebike Rider is an independent publication and is not the official website of any brand it covers, nor an authorised dealer, reseller or service centre for any of them.

3. Information only, and no warranty of accuracy

Everything here is published for general information. We take accuracy seriously: every figure is transcribed from a merchant's published listing or product data with the date it was read, arithmetic is shown rather than asserted, and unpublished specifications are printed as unpublished rather than guessed at. The methodology page explains the process in full.

Even so, the site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, completeness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, correct or remove content at any time.

4. Specifications change, and the merchant's page is authoritative

Manufacturers revise specifications, prices, options and availability without notice, and sometimes without changing a model name. A figure that was correct on the day we read it may be wrong by the time you read it.

Before you buy, verify every figure that matters to you on the merchant's own product page. Where our information and the merchant's differ, theirs governs — they are selling the bike and we are not. Where a price check on this site has gone stale, we replace the figure with a link to the merchant for exactly this reason.

5. Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is professional, legal, safety, medical, engineering or financial advice, and nothing here creates a professional relationship of any kind. We have not ridden, tested, weighed or measured any bike described here, and our assessments are analysis of published specifications rather than measurement.

Decisions about whether a bike suits your weight, your terrain, your health or your budget are yours to make, and are worth discussing with people qualified to advise on them.

6. Local law is your responsibility

E-bike law in the United States varies by state, county and municipality, and rules for shared-use paths, trails and parks are frequently stricter than rules for roads. Class definitions, speed caps, wattage limits, helmet requirements, age limits and registration rules are not uniform, and they change.

Where this site describes the three-class framework or any speed or power limit, that is general background rather than legal advice, and it may be out of date or inapplicable where you live. It is your responsibility to confirm that a bike is legal to own and to ride where you intend to ride it, before you buy. See the disclaimer for more on this.

7. Third-party links and purchases

Outbound links lead to merchants and other websites that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, their availability, their security or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other side of it.

Any purchase you make is a contract between you and that merchant, on their terms. We are not a party to it. We cannot intervene in an order, a delivery, a warranty claim, a return or a refund, and we have no visibility of any of them. Some outbound links earn us commission — see the affiliate disclosure.

8. Intellectual property

The editorial text, the structure of the comparisons, the original analysis and the original graphics on this site belong to Ebike Rider. You may quote short extracts for review, comment or news reporting with clear attribution and a link back to the page quoted. You may not republish substantial portions, mirror the site, or reproduce our specification tables wholesale without written permission.

Brand names, model names, logos and product photography belong to their respective owners. They appear here for identification and editorial commentary, under normal principles of nominative and fair use, and their appearance does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by or endorsement from the owner.

If you are a rights holder and believe material has been used improperly, write to hello@ebikerider.us with the page and the material concerned, and we will review it promptly and remove anything we should not have used.

9. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the site, scrape it at a rate that degrades it for other readers, misrepresent the site or its authors, or use any part of it for an unlawful purpose. Automated bulk copying of the content for republication or for training a commercial model is not permitted without written agreement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ebike Rider and anyone writing for it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, data, time or opportunity, arising out of your use of this site, your reliance on anything published here, or any purchase you make through an outbound link.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the smallest amount permitted by the applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, or for anything else that may not lawfully be excluded.

Your contract of sale is with the merchant, not with us. Riding a bicycle of any kind involves risk you accept yourself; the disclaimer covers that in more detail.

11. Indemnity

If your misuse of this site, or your breach of these terms, causes a claim against us by someone else, you agree to be responsible for the reasonable costs of dealing with it.

12. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from use of the site, are governed by the law applicable where Ebike Rider is operated, and by any consumer protection law of your own place of residence that applies to you regardless of choice of law. We have deliberately not named a court or a state here rather than assert a jurisdiction we are not prepared to state precisely. If a dispute ever required a forum, it would be determined by that applicable law rather than by this page.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
