VTUVIA Zeal LT7
The cheapest bike VTUVIA sells and the one with the torque sensor — assist that scales with how hard you push rather than switching on when the cranks turn. Add 27.5 × 2.6" wheels that genuinely roll on tarmac, the highest payload rating on this site at 350 lb, published 80mm fork travel and a Shimano derailleur named to its model number, and it is the most equipment per dollar in the middle of the market.
Against it: VTUVIA states no certification for this model, where the SF20H states two. It is also the smallest pack in the range at 624Wh and the lowest torque figure at 65 Nm, and it is a road bike — not a trail or sand bike.

VTUVIA SF20H
Sixty pounds — the lightest bike on the whole site — and it folds. It is the only bike here stating both UL 2271 and UL 2849. Eighty-five newton-metres is the joint-highest hub torque we cover, and the brakes are specified down to the martensitic stainless rotor material, which is a level of detail almost nobody offers at this price.
Against it: Cadence sensor rather than torque, which is the one thing the cheaper Zeal LT7 does better. Six hundred and seventy-two watt-hours at $1,399 is about $2.08 per watt-hour, and the fork is the only suspension.

VTUVIA SX20
The only switchable sensor on this site — torque mode when you want the bike to feel like a bicycle, cadence mode when your legs are done — and a 5’0” fit floor that nothing else here matches. For shorter riders on a step-through frame, that is the whole argument.
Against it: Same 750W motor, same 85 Nm, same 672Wh as the SF20H, ten pounds heavier at 70 lb, $200 more, and no UL number where the SF20H has two. At about $2.38 per watt-hour it is the second most expensive energy on this site.

What VTUVIA is actually selling
Written-down specification. That sounds like faint praise until you compare the listings side by side. VTUVIA publishes motor torque for all three bikes, fork travel where a fork has it, the rotor material on the SF20H's brakes, a rider height range, a bare bike weight, and — unusually — separate range figures for pedal assist and for throttle-only riding rather than one flattering headline.
None of that is glamorous. All of it is what lets you judge a bike before it arrives.
The sensor question
Two of the three use a torque sensor: the Zeal LT7 has V-Adapt as standard, the SX20 has a switchable torque-or-cadence system. The SF20H is cadence-only. That is the single most consequential difference inside this range, and it does not track price — the cheapest bike has the better sensor.
The certification gap
The SF20H states both UL 2271, which certifies the battery pack, and UL 2849, which certifies the complete electrical system. It is the only bike anywhere on this site to state both, and if a building manager has asked you for certification in writing it is the strongest paperwork here.
The Zeal LT7 and the SX20 state nothing. Because VTUVIA clearly knows how to state a certification when it has one, we treat those omissions as meaningful rather than as oversights, and we do not carry the SF20H's numbers across the range.

Which VTUVIA should most people buy?
The Zeal LT7 at $1,299 if you commute on tarmac — it is the cheapest bike in the range and the one with the torque sensor, which changes how the bike feels more than any other component. The SF20H at $1,399 if you carry the bike or need certification in writing: 60 lb, folding, and the only bike on this site stating both UL 2271 and UL 2849.
SF20H or SX20 — is the extra $200 worth it?
They share a motor, a torque figure, a battery and a wheel size. The SX20 adds the switchable torque-or-cadence sensor and a fit range starting at 5’0”; it also weighs 70 lb against 60 lb and states no UL number where the SF20H states two. If you are tall enough for the SF20H and you ever lift the bike, the SF20H is the better buy. If you are around five foot, the SX20 earns its premium on fit alone.
What does VTUVIA’s V-Adapt torque sensor actually do?
It measures how hard you are pressing the pedals and scales the motor to match, instead of simply applying a fixed assist level whenever the cranks turn. In practice the bike surges as you stand on a climb and eases as you soft-pedal, which most riders describe as the difference between riding a bicycle and steering a moped. It also tends to stretch range, because you are not drawing full assist on flat ground.
Are all VTUVIA bikes UL certified?
No. VTUVIA states UL 2271 and UL 2849 for the SF20H, and states no certification for the Zeal LT7 or the SX20. Since they clearly know how to state one when they have it, we treat the omissions as meaningful and do not carry the SF20H’s numbers across the range. If certification is a requirement for you, ask VTUVIA about the specific model in writing before ordering.
How do VTUVIA prices compare with AMYET?
On stored energy, badly — and that is the honest answer. VTUVIA’s bikes run about $2.08 to $2.38 per nominal watt-hour against AMYET’s $0.72 to $0.93. What the extra money buys is hydraulic brakes across the range, published torque figures, published fork travel, published bike weights, published rider heights, torque sensors on two of three bikes, and on one bike two UL standards. Whether that is worth roughly double depends entirely on whether those things matter to you.
