What we can help with

  • Corrections. A specification we have misread, a price that has moved, a claim we have overstated, a link that goes nowhere. These come first and we fix them in place.
  • Questions about the 22 bikes we cover. If you have read a review and are still stuck between two models, tell us your terrain, your typical distance, where the bike will be stored and your budget, and we will tell you what we would be looking at and why.
  • Coverage suggestions. Models or brands you would like to see added, and what you would want us to check.
  • Press and rights enquiries. Including from the brands themselves. Note that we do not accept paid placements, sponsored reviews or paid ranking positions — see how we review.

How to report a factual error

We want these. A review site built on other people's published specifications will eventually transcribe one wrong, and the only defence is readers who tell us.

The most useful report has three parts: the page it is on, the figure or sentence as we have printed it, and the merchant's own page showing what it should say. A link to the listing is worth more than anything else you can send, because it lets us re-check the source rather than argue from memory. If a merchant has quietly changed a specification since we transcribed it, that is worth knowing too, and it is not something we can see from here.

Substantive corrections are made in place and noted at the foot of the page concerned, with the date. We do not silently rewrite a page and pretend the earlier version never existed.

What we cannot help with

We are an independent publication, not a retailer. We cannot help with an order, a delivery date, a warranty claim, a spare part, an assembly problem, a firmware question or a refund, because we do not sell bikes and have no relationship with any merchant beyond an affiliate link.

For any of those, contact the brand directly through its own website — AMYET, VTUVIA, EUNORAU or Velotric. They hold your order, they hold the warranty, and they are the only party who can act. Writing to us first only costs you a day.

We also cannot tell you whether a particular bike is legal on a particular path in your town. Local rules vary far more than the three-class framework suggests, and getting that wrong on your behalf would be worse than not answering.

Response times

This is a small operation. Corrections are usually handled within a day or two. General questions can take longer, and enquiries that are really sales pitches may not get an answer at all. If something is time-sensitive because you are about to buy, say so in the subject line and we will read it first.
