Affiliate disclosure

The short version

Ebike Rider participates in affiliate programmes. When you click an outbound link on this site and buy something, we may receive a commission from the merchant. You pay exactly the same price. The commission comes out of the merchant's margin, not out of your pocket.

This is required disclosure under the US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255), and we would make it anyway.

How to spot an affiliate link

Every commercial outbound link on this site carries rel="nofollow sponsored noopener" and opens in a new tab. In practice, any button reading "Check Current Price", "View at AMYET" or "See Current Offer" is an affiliate link. Links to other pages within Ebike Rider are not.

What commission does not buy

• Ranking position. Our ranking of the three AMYET bikes places the second-cheapest bike first and the most expensive bike third. If commission drove the order, it would be the other way round.
• Removal of criticism. Every review on this site names things the manufacturer does not publish, claims we think are optimistic, and specifications we would want upgraded. None of that gets softened.
• Coverage itself. We chose to cover these three models because they are what people are choosing between, not because of a commission rate.

What we do not do

We do not accept payment for reviews, rankings, or inclusion. We do not run display advertising. We do not publish sponsored posts. We do not sell newsletter placements. We have no undisclosed commercial relationship with AMYET or any other manufacturer beyond the affiliate link described here.

Programmes we participate in

Where we have been accepted into a merchant's affiliate programme, outbound links to that merchant carry our tracking identifier. Where we have not, the link is a plain outbound link and earns us nothing — we still publish it, because the reader needs to be able to reach the product either way.

Prices and availability

We are not the merchant and we do not control pricing, stock or shipping. Every price on this site carries the date it was read from the merchant's listing. Prices change without notice; the figure on the merchant's own page at the moment you check out is the only one that counts. Where our check has gone stale, we replace the number with a link rather than show you something that may be wrong.
