Who we are
Ebike Rider (https://ebikerider.us) is an independent e-bike review publication. For any privacy question, contact hello@ebikerider.us.
What we collect
Analytics
If analytics is enabled on this site, it is Google Analytics 4, possibly via Google Tag Manager. It records aggregated, pseudonymous information: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring site, and whether an outbound affiliate link was clicked. We use it to understand which pages are useful, not to identify individuals. We do not attempt to link analytics data to a named person.
Newsletter
If you submit your email address to the newsletter form, we store it for the purpose of sending you the newsletter, and for nothing else. You can unsubscribe from any email. We do not sell, rent or share subscriber lists.
Email you send us
If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can reply and so we can track corrections. We do not add correspondents to any mailing list.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for or store payment information, addresses, phone numbers or account credentials. We do not sell products, so there is no checkout on this site. We do not run behavioural advertising networks or sell data to data brokers.
Cookies
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Analytics, if enabled, sets its own cookies to distinguish repeat visits. Embedded YouTube videos are loaded through youtube-nocookie.com and only after you click play, so no YouTube cookie is set unless you choose to watch something. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the site works without them.
Affiliate links
Outbound links to merchants may carry a tracking parameter identifying us as the referring publisher, so the merchant can attribute a sale. Once you leave this site, the merchant's own privacy policy governs what they collect. See our affiliate disclosure.
Third parties
Pages on this site load product imagery from the merchant's content delivery network and, when you click to play, video from YouTube. Those requests reach the third party concerned and are subject to their policies. We share nothing with them beyond the request your browser makes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Given how little we collect, this will usually mean a newsletter subscription or an email thread. Write to hello@ebikerider.us and we will deal with it.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
